Cool to see Don Coscarelli back in the game. Phantasm remains one of my favorite horror films of all time (mainly if just for the 'Cuda; made me a Mopar fan for life).

But I never understood why Coscarelli went so campy later on in his career. I mean Phantasm III was just ridiculosly campy, and drug the film down. At least he found a way with Bruce Campbell to do campy horror with Bubba Ho-Tep and make it work. They were supposed to do a sequel to that and it died when Bruce Campbell left the project.

I enjoyed Bubba Ho-Tep, so i'm hoping this will be decent, although it looks like camp - overdose. Coscarelli's directing stuff on Masters of Horror was forgettable, even if it was a bit darker than his norm.
