For me it's not that there's anything really wrong with "The Seeker" itself....

It's just indicative of how things are....

The other covers were more enjoyable because Axl made his own by doing them in his own style (eg the Amazing Sailing cover in 2006)...but this one is pretty standard, there's no axl moment, no gnr adaption....pretty much just filler in the set.

Meanwhile...when was the last time you heard Yesterdays live? There's a ton of GNR stuff that you could break out before doing a cover where you have nothing to add to the original...

I can honestly say I haven't listened to one clip of GNR's version of The Seeker. A new live cover simply holds zero interest for me.

If it was a studio recording of it I would listen, or a live version of a new song, but other than that I really don't care.

This... There are so many great Guns N' Roses songs at their disposal, and they knock out a bar band cover instead... Like, really???

As they choose to tour endlessly over even recording or writing (not talking about releasing...)

It's like this; they want to play it because they think it's fun. We don't. We don't understand why they wanna do that stuff and not a new song or another GNR song.

And they are more than welcome to do so, but they can't be surprised when people are disappointed because they went to a Guns N Roses concert to hear Guns N Roses songs.  All of this goes back to keeping the name...if you're going to be Guns N Roses, then be Guns N Roses and play Guns N Roses songs (and play them right).  Yes, they used to play covers (like most bands) because they needed to fill a setlist.  That isn't the case any more.  There's plenty to choose from.  I enjoyed the show when I went, but every time a solo or non-gnr song came on, it was like the air was sucked out of the place, and then it had to be built back up.  That's not good.

And to be clear I personally have no problem with them all doing solos and having those solos being their own material...no problem at all, but lets not pretend that 90% of the people at the show care about those.  Even the (vast majority of) people still going to shows are there to see Axl and that's it.  It's not that they have anything against the rest of the band, but that's not why they are there.
