I was trying to think of a reason for Slash to be sober at 5.30. That might actually be it.

I see it as mental candy floss to help pass an hour or two.. you just can't take this stuff too seriously.

Let me ask you this Ali - what time of day or night do you think Axl is most likely to be awake?

It's a known fact that he's mostly nocturnal.

If you are desperate to have a real one-on-one heart to heart with him it's a lot more likely to happen at 5.30am than 5.30pm and we both know it.

I'm not disputing that according to his reputation, Axl would most likely be awake at 5:30 a.m.

But, I just think it's funny that you would state that it's either answer the door to unannounced visit at 5:30 a.m. from someone who's drunk or have a lawsuit filed against you, as if there are no other alternatives.  I think phone calls, even between legal representatives, to just set up a discussion of the matters related to various suits is a possible path.  There are other alternatives, so I completely disagree that it's either answer the door under those circumstances or have a suit filed against you.

I don't know about you Monkey, but I gotta say that if a drunk person I haven't talked to in a long time shows up at my door unannounced, letting them in or talking to them isn't at the top of my priority list 16

Also, I am pointing out that possibility that Axl may not have been present at the time of the visit - that's never been confirmed - or that perhaps Beta interceded and met with Slash at the door, not letting Slash meet with Axl, thinking, perhaps mistakenly, that she was acting in Axl's best interest.

Has happened to me a few times.

I've always given them the time of the day.

Never regretted those, btw.

Nobody says you have to let them in to hear them out either.

Maybe I'm more cautious than you, but I'd be extremely wary, especially if it was someone I had a falling out with.

Well, on another subject, Bumble did a video podcast recently for a youtube channel and the question on new material was asked.

He replied politely that all GN'R gear for recording and writing was set up at Dj's house but "life got in the way".

Is that a politic way to say Axl didn't show up?

I'm starting to lose hope.
