my fave hank # is actually i'll never get out of this world alive. i find him weird cause he is depressing but also funny at the same time, y'know? but yea that is a sad fucking choice alright.
yea i take umbrage w/Fake Plastic Trees too - a song about boob jobs can't be considered one of the saddest ever. even RH aren't THAT depressing. tho i'm sure they've got a handful of runners in the 'dreariest song ever' comp.

A lot of great choices from everybody, it's silly how great someone else's suffering can be when put to song.
I've said for a long time no song with words could make me as sad as this song, strangely enough by The Damned, does.

No-One but You (Only the Good Die Young) by members of Queen is extremely heartbreaking to listen to. Brian and Roger's vocals are trying to fight back emotion over the loss of their dear friend and band mate.
These Are The Days Of Our Lives is a another melancholy song and bittersweet goodbye from Freddie.
Hello by Evanescence I found to be very upsetting since the origin of the song comes from the death of a loved one which we can all relate to. Even if you are not a fan of the group, the song itself brings up some emotions.
