Yeah, losses don't get much tougher than that.  Andrew Luck has shown he's the real deal and will be a factor for years to come.  Detroit has been as inconsistent a bunch as their is.  They have talent, especially on offense.  And they actually have talent on defense too, but they don't seem to play up to their capabilities.  With a D-line like that, they should be better.

As for the Niners.  Do they go back to Smith now?  Smith TIED the Rams, then "lost" his job.  Kaepernick lost to the Rams.  So can/should they switch back or do they stick with the decision they made and move forward?  I thought it was a ballsy call, and didn't really think it was the right one at the time.  But I almost think they have to move forward with it.

What's amazing is that Chiefs coach went right back out there and coached and did post-game press after he just saw that 25-year old kid turn his head into Campbell's Chunky Pot Roast.

They can't go back to Smith because Harbaugh has already tied himself to the hip with Kapernick. It's pure ego, that's his guy who he drafted and he thinks he can just put him in there like nothing will change. Well, it has.

And there's no doubt that most of the announcers supporting this change has to do with race. Michael Irvin and people saying he's going to make mistakes and have bumps in the road is normal and to stick with him...

IT'S DECEMBER YOU FUCKING MORONS. The playoffs are like four games away. The Seahawks are starting to roll. So are the Giants. You don't go with an untested, unproven QB who isn't playing as hot as people thought (or wanted to think) he would.

What gets me the most is that the case to play this kid over Smith is what "he might be capable of doing." It's stupid. He can run he's got a big arm. So does Michael Vick. Didn't really pan out did it.

Didnt see it, I'll look it up. That Thanksgiving Day call about the play becoming unreviewable was BS.  NFL sucks with it's idiotic minutia rules. Just play the game & whats best, not follow a semantic rulebook.

Yeah I don't get it either.  It's not like Smith or the team was playing badly at the time.  Even if Smith was injured, they knew it wasn't a long term injury and at most he would have missed the one game.  Seemed like an odd move to make the switch like that.  We'll see.  It could still work out, and Harbaugh has shown to be a pretty good coach to this point so I have to give him more play than I would a lesser coach.

Here's the problem though...I knew the rule.  If I knew the rule, how does an NFL head coach not know the rule?  Not saying I agree with the rule, but for now it is what it is.

The Giants lost that game last night because of their complete lack of urgency when they got the ball in the 4th quarter.  You don't establish a running game when you're down in the fourth quarter, you do that early in the game.

Agree with both points, Buzz. When I saw him throw the challenge flag I knew what was going to happen. They've been very clear about that rule. Also, last year Schwartz was calling another coach an idiot from the sidelines when they basically did the same thing he did. So he knew better. It was lack of self control, which he seems to have a problem with.

And yeah, Giants deserved to lose last night.

He gets a free pass for this year because of the playoff appearance from last season.  However, the seat will be a little warm next year.  Having seen his defenses in action for a long time, I'm not surprised with some of the fourth quarter meltdowns.  Lions defense depends on getting a pass rush from the front four with minimal blitzing.  If they don't get there the secondary is exposed.  The Lions need to improve their secondary in the offseason badly.  They also need a 2nd WR to take heat off Megatron.  Titus Young Jr.  was an awful pick and Broyles blew out an ACL for a 2nd straight year.

Is it wrong to hope your team just loses out the rest of the season so we can get Jarvis Jones?

Nope.  Alreadly far ahead of you on that one since the Titans have gone into the toilet for the last month or so.  I'm hoping for Star Lotuleilei or Deontre Moore from A&M.  I'm still not sure how the Titans destroyed the Dolphins coming out of the bye week.

Jarvis Jones might fall a little because of his spinal stenosis and could be around when the Dolphins pick.  But what they need most of all is a game breaker at WR.  The other 2 guys (Hartline and Bess) are good possesion guys but they need someone that can take the top off a defense.  They could sign Bowe or Greg Jennings as a FA.

Lot of shitty teams won this week which helps the Titans.  No one is catching the Chiefs for the top pick though.  Philly will grab the best available OT on the board unless they sign Jake Long who is supposed to be an UFA after the year.

Can't wait for the MNF game next week vs the Jets.  If the Titans get destroyed at home on national tv, Munchak will probably be fired.

NFC East is suddenly an interesting division.  That season finale between Cowboys vs Redskins could be important if both teams are at 9-6.  I can't really see a 10-6 missing the playoffs.
