Haha. Well, they're already killing off artists past their prime to boost sales, so why not?

But it's got nothing to do with being G. They're maybe not plenty, but those guys are still around. They just don't have the balls to say it like it is once they hit big anymore. Back in the Tupac days you were supposed to be anti establishment. It was as essential to a rapper as a guitar to a rocker. The assassinations changed that.

Obviously you can still say fuck the police and what not, but there's a reason Jesse Jackson was the replacement for MLK. Consciously or not, the message had been heard.

I'm going to guess there's not enough interest in Tomahawk to bother starting a whole new thread, but if you're into FNM you might be interested.  They put out a video today.  I think the album comes out in January.

Haha.  Tomahawk is about as accessible as post-FNM Patton gets too.  He's without a doubt not for everybody.

I actually think Tomahawk is a little less wierd than Tool, but I'm also one of the only people I've ever known who likes heavy music but isn't into Tool, so my opinions on them obviously aren't shared by that many people.

One of Tomahawk's albums is based largely around Native American music, that might have been what they were touring on at the time too.

Cool, I didn't know that.  I think you probably just gave me how I'm going to spend my Friday night...  Watching Tomahawk videos on youtube to see what they were doing.  That's not something I'd have expected from them.
