I can play and record drums!
Got a brand new kit with midi output so I can produce some real cool and well captured drum sounds!

Don't Cry could be a good start and also it was the first song written for GN'R... epic!

Have you guys already recorded channel by channel before?

Basically you record a "guide track", that is bass or rhythm guitar with metronome and a rough vocal track to mark the parts.

You pass this to the drummer (me), I record the drums, add to the file.

Then the bass player can record his parts (using the rough tracks of rhythm guitar + vocal + final drums).

Then to rhythm guitar(s), the guitarist records based on rough vocal, final drums and bass.

Then we proceed to leads, repeating the same substitution process.

In the end we have everything recorded but the final vocals.

Then to mixing....

Without a metronome we'll be all over the place, tempo wise.

Might be fun tho...

So u wanna rely on the rhythm guitarist for timing? Lol

The drummer will be hearing the rhythm guitar track PLUS the metronome, so the timing is fine =P
