Re: Rolling Stones Discussion (US Tour Announced!)
i thought One More Shot was weak piss
Doom was p sweet, but the first time i heard it i gotta admit i thought "wtf is this primal scream or someone doing another stones pastiche?" but it did grow on me instantly. one more shot on the other hand is just crap.
i maybe would go and see them again live. seen them a couple & barely remember those shows at all
fucking great nights tho. brilliant party.
Re: Rolling Stones Discussion (US Tour Announced!)
One More Shot is not as good as Doom, but I still thought One More Shot kicked tons of ass.
I mean think about it. The Stones are still pumping out rock at their age that FUCKING CRUSHES ANYTHING ELSE out there called rock on radio today.
The Legend lives on

Re: Rolling Stones Discussion (US Tour Announced!)
Man I really want them to do a Toronto date before years end.
They usually use TO, as their rehearsal city when doing a new tour.
So I am hoping they will play maybe Massey Hall and do a surprise gig at the Elmo. I assume though they would play the ACC and then do a surprise gig at a place they've never done before like Massey Hall (surprise gig).
Re: Rolling Stones Discussion (US Tour Announced!)
i remember dancing to Miss You, slipping, falling on my arse & getting absolutely clobbered in mud. but i got up & danced on. one of the few memories i have of the 2nd time i seen them. i remember Honky Tonk Woman that day too. that's about it.
from the first time i remember whiteying in the bogs & coming back out running into one of the guys from The Thrills, the shitty Irish band who'd opened for them. he looked even more stoned & shitfaced than me which i thought was a good achievement. i went back into the arena just as Street Fighting Man started, a proper wake-me-up. don't remember much else except the journey down.
it's kinda a shame spending so much money on tickets then having so few concrete memories.
good times.
best times. it's happiest place on earth a rolling stones gig.
Before They Make Me Run is prob the 2nd best Keef song after All About You. fwiw.

Re: Rolling Stones Discussion (US Tour Announced!)
No DC or Baltimore..Fuck that! Personally I wouldn't see the Stones live since I know the tickets would be unfair and outrageous. Oh well. How bad was the experience in '94, Russ?
