damn boy....you got a great show. ...being a Who fan, I would love to hear The Seeker. Neil Young and The Who are 2 of my top ten favorite artists...as is Dylan so I am digging the covers right now....throw in Dead Flowers instead of any of the solo spots and I am in heaven. 9

After seeing that they're actually mixing it up, I'll definitely have to make my way to one of these shows.

Still can't get over that set list. Stacey got some BAD ASS pics we'll try to up load later today.

I personally couldn't care less about Don't Let It Bring You Down, but I wasn't complaining when it was played. I'm also not even a little bit of a Who fan, but they tore the fuck out of The Seeker.

Second time I've heard TWaT live and first time hearing Catcher live so that was great. I now only need to hear ITW and Prostitute live and I will have heard the entire record live.

On the subject of Finck; I never saw him at any point. Stacey and I were backstage briefly after the show and never saw him there either. Tommy wasn't backstage either, but when we were walking out of The Joint, Tommy walked right out with us 16 He was with his very young daughter. He was holding her and she had her head on his shoulder so I didn't wanna bother him. I just put my hand up and said "What's up Tommy?" very quietly. He smiled and gave us a head nod and kept walking. He walked right from there straight around the casino to his elevator which I thought was pretty cool.

Going to bed...will discuss more later.  Overall a good show and the band is very tight and professional.  Axl was Axl - good sometimes, not so good others, but solid overall and hidden enough in the mix that his weak moments didn't detract from the show overall.  When he was on, it was impressive.

I will say that having seen Slash and Axl both live recently, I really had some moments where I wished they were still playing together.  I know it's not the reality of what we have, but there's still something from a feel perspective missing from the new band on the old songs.  They kicked ass on the CD songs with very few exceptions, but I feel the same as I felt at the Slash show...something was missing.

I don't think there's any doubt they could kick ass on the old stuff today. And I can see why a lot of you guys don't like the sound of the new band compared to the old. It's a different sound.

I'm glad you had a good time, dude.

For sure - the old stuff would just have a different feel.  The new band performs it well, but it's just not the same.  I'm far from a CD expert, but to my ears, they nailed the CD stuff (with the exception of Better).  TWAT wasn't perfect either, but I give them a pass on it since it isn't played live every day.

After having time to sleep on it, I think the show was pretty much what I expected.  I enjoyed it.  I'm glad I went.  I wouldn't travel to see them again, but I'd consider going if they played Atlanta or Nashville.  I'm glad they played TWAT since it's my favorite CD song, but beyond that, I could have done without any of the other CD songs and the solo spots were agonizing (even though they were well performed).

I repeat what I said a few weeks ago...if you have a chance to go to a show and haven't seen them (even if you're not a huge fan), I highly encourage you to go.  It's virtually impossible to have a bad time if you even mildly like any version of the band.

Get the $40 GA tickets in the balcony.  Sound is great and you can get pretty close to the stage on the side.  It's not quite as good as being up in front, but you can't beat the price.

Honestly, I would rather hear Don't Let It Bring You Down than Perfect Crime....the casual fan isn't starving to hear either but Axl trying to screech that tune out now is not very appealing.

Agreed. I don't know why anyone would want to see Axl attempt Perfect Crime in 2012. It would SUCK.

I think the selection of old songs they do these days is great, there's nothing really obvious to me from the back catalogue that they should be playing and aren't. CW and Estranged were the main ones everyone called for and we get them now. Sure an odd surprise of My Michelle or Think About You would be good but nobody is having a worse show without them. For me it's the mix up of the CD tracks that's more interesting and hopefully (one day) brand new material.

I think I'd be cool if they did Dead Horse. To me that is Guns N' Roses most classic rock feeling song.

Sounds like Russ, Buzz & Gibbo had a great night. 22

Best varied setlist in a long while.

I am SO jealous. To hear Estranged & TWAT in the same SHOW BUZZ!

Remember you were the same guy in Chicago '92 that heard Coma & Estranged in the same show (even if you don't remember it).

For as much as you're a dick, you seem to get rare moments of epic GN'R songs together. Again, what a fantastic setlist to be apart of.

Just watched Sonafabitch's twat and catcher....Axl does fine but the band just really nails them. The outro on TWAT is loose, rough and raw....killer.

Axl sings the screams at a lower pitch than normal, in 2009 he really nailed them at the superhigh level, I only pay attention to that because those screams are my fav moment in all of GNR so I'm somewhat obsessive about the, but other than that looks like a great night for everyone smile
