Re: Rolling Stones Discussion (US Tour Announced!)
I think it was '96 when I saw them and was bitching up a storm about paying $70. Great show, but it was my first entry in every show I want to see not costing $35 anymore.
At that time I'd see old posters from the 70's that were $10 and bitch about having to pay $30-ish. Little did I know...
Re: Rolling Stones Discussion (US Tour Announced!)
I would man, this might be their last run.
I've been hearing that literally my whole life.
Btw, the song is awesome. They've still got it. Which is astonishing. What makes me even more sad in someways is that The Rolling Stones had to carry GNR's torch. They were supposed to become the next Stones.
It makes me wonder at times when I hear Mick and Keith, what might've been if Axl & Izzy or Axl & Slash had recorded for the next 40 years of their lives after 1987.

I think I'm about 10 years older than you are, and I could say the same thing. I remember when I was little overhearing my parents talking about Mick Jagger turning 40 and commenting that he (Mick) had always said he'd never live that long.

Purchased Doom & Gloom yesterday and rocked out to it after class. Badass rock n' roll song!

Go for it! That song would sound killer on vinyl. Damn this song needs to be part of a full album instead of a Greatest Hits compilation.
