what about civil war mate?
i actually thought myles & slash sucked the life outta SCoM. can't rem them doing RQ when i saw them.. i think slash kills them on CW, & would kill them on just about everything if he tried (but it seemed to me he wasn't really trying w/SCoM when i saw him, like he was just throwing it out there w/no energy)..

Don't think anything would have been done out of spite - they seemed on good terms the last time he cameo'd at a show.

Sounds like a great show overall.

Great to see things like TWAT and Catcher back in the setlist, makes all the difference to me.

yea but that's why it'd be such an opportune moment to do it, if he was harboring some resentment. like to be a dick to him on his birthday in that way would be much shittier than not having him play before.
y'don't really get rock n roll spite like that much these days. well you do i suppose, it's just not as common as it used to be..
i'm sure it's not the case. i was just bullshitting.

but yea great to see TWAT & dedicated to DJ's sister is fun. & in fairness, i've always liked CitR better live than studio so yea nice to see it also really.

Sounds like you guys got a really good show. I really like Catcher and TWAT if it sounds close to the album.

Something was off on SCOM, though to be fair I thought that at the Slash show too.

Myles bugs me on CW.  Slash killed it, but that was one of the few songs Myles bothered me on live.

actually myles did bug me a little on CW to now you mention it. but slash was ridiculous, so loud n heavy just nailed it.

Going to bed...will discuss more later.  Overall a good show and the band is very tight and professional.  Axl was Axl - good sometimes, not so good others, but solid overall and hidden enough in the mix that his weak moments didn't detract from the show overall.  When he was on, it was impressive.

I will say that having seen Slash and Axl both live recently, I really had some moments where I wished they were still playing together.  I know it's not the reality of what we have, but there's still something from a feel perspective missing from the new band on the old songs.  They kicked ass on the CD songs with very few exceptions, but I feel the same as I felt at the Slash show...something was missing.
