You're wrong. The songs we've heard aren't all that good. BH saves TWAT much like Slash saved NR and Estranged, and Better is an ok song. Other than that, the songs are overrated and overbloated pieces of crap. If it's the demos he's heard, I think he called it exactly right depending on which 2 songs he heard. If it's a final copy and the songs are as overproduced as the demos are, he's right there as well. The only chance these songs have of mainstream success is a stripped down version that's less than 5 minutes long. Even then, by the time the album is released, the majority of the fan base will consider them old songs.
Anyone that thinks that CD is going to change the music world better hope it's never released or they will find the results even more disappointing than the wait.
I am not wrong. Opinion is opinion, not fact. To be objective and still understand that this is still arguing over opinion is not wrong. You can't objectively rate something without listening to all of it rather than the first two parts. This guy is either unqualified or this isn't true. Either way, we shouldn't be worried about the quality of the album based on this. And saying buckethead saved twat is like saying guitar is the only important instrument in the band. He is great on it, yes. i agree but if it was a bad song the only thing that would save it was it being totally rewritten. On the contrary, the reason buckethead shines on it is because it was written accordingly (for his great soloing) It's not like they had this crappy song complete with no soloing on it and buckethead came in and said, "hey axl put that porno in the dvd. You know that crappy song you wrote called TWAT. i am gonna save it. It will be great when i am done with it."

Actually, you are wrong. You're wrong because you are stating something as fact that is an opinion...I just followed up on it to see your response, and it was what I would expect.
NR - Slash = snooze fest. TWAT - BH = not worth listening to in any way. If the song was written for BH to shine, we wouldn't have to hear Axl repeating the same stupid line over and over instead of the solo. I'm the last person to defend BH because I'm not much of a fan, but his outtro to TWAT is the only thing I've heard worthy of the name Guns N' Roses. The rest of it is just filler.

I think Robin, Ron and Richards live versions of NR are as good or better then Slashs. Also, I think Ron does a fantastic job on the TWAT solo.
You're fine to think that, but based off of the quality of the songs those individuals have written that can hold a candle to NR, I'll have to disagree.
I'm a big believer in the creative process more than taking a great idea and attempting to improve on it. I could play a great NR solo now, but I doubt I could have come up with anything on my own that would have fit the song better than what we have. Any session musician can play a solo that somewhat fits the song, but they are session musicians because they can't write great music.
Slash saved NR and Estranged from being the pieces of crap that Axl envisioned. He made those songs OK for guys to listen to. Go read the lyrics of those songs and make them piano only songs...nothing against Elton John because I think he's a great performer, but that's what you would have had. BH saves TWAT and no matter how well anybody "fills in" that role, it can't replace the creativity that went into making the music.

actually, no i am not wrong about anything i stated as fact
slash plays on NR intentionally - fact
buckethead plays on TWAT intentially - fact
the songs were written with the intention of having guitar - fact
gnr is a rock band - fact
the guitar is a vital instrument to the rock sound - fact (technically an opinion but i think we'd all agree to that)
therefore.................
all gnr songs, with a few exceptions, would be boring without guitar - opinion (in reponse to your opinion)
same as metallica or system of a down, etc. etc. etc. etc. - opinion (in response to you OPINION)
and even, you would probably agree with that. although you would not admit it right now cause it would prove my point.
again..........it's not like axl was sitting around singing twat and buckethead and the rest of the guys showed up and "saved" the song by contributing good work.
and, IMO, i love the song by the way.....lyrics, vocals, arrangement, guitar, bass, drums, etc...........

I'd like to know how this has deteriorated into a bloated pissing match for people to try and argue their opinions as fact with such condescending "I will word this better than you and therefore I am right" glee. Some of us like the leaks, really like them. Apparently some of us don't. That's all. I really, really like them. I'm not wrong. And so ... thank you. Go back to talking about the guy who claims to have the "finished" album.
