I was actually a fan of his short-lived "Bones" spinoff "The Finder" in the spring. In May he also went to Scotland for a special week's worth of episodes on "The Late Show with Craig Ferguson".
I literally had no clue, or no forethought to think at that time I was watching his final moments on screen.
I had actually hoped after Fox cancelled "The Finder" that it might get picked up by USA Network. Not now. The show would not be the same without Michael's character.
Just a big teddy bear of a man. How dearly I will miss him.
