Re: Best band Neemo vs Russ
Got to go with Russ on this band! Even Neemo has a finely crafted metal band no doubt about that. There is magic there in both shows and in the studio. But..Elvis with Dave & Randy on guitar would be pure bliss to my ears. Prince can play anything right now and has made great records; so he would make an essential member in getting shit done. Taylor has a fun rock n' roll drum style that I love. These shows would sell out crowds and would be legendary!
Re: Best band Neemo vs Russ
does taylor even write music or does he just play what grohl tells him to? elvis is too old school to generate a oung fanbase and most of the record sales in this day and age is from a genre that my band would directly target
the Slash/Wylde "gnr stint" was sighted as not workign in a GnR setting... if the band was crafted for a 3 guitar onslaught i'm sure it wouldnt be a problem
and i dont think my band should be pigeon holed into a metal genre, there could be some seriously killer southern rock grooves generated here
all in all i think that Russ' band is too eclectic i have a hard time picturing what kind of music they would generate....i question what kind of chemistry would be there as their backgrounds and eras of relevance are all over the place
Re: Best band Neemo vs Russ
well since my band is drawing on Ozzy, Black Label, Metallica, GnR, VR, Slash, Snakepit, Alice in Chains, Pantera, Down, tool and a perfect circle
i thinks its safe to say that i have a pretty good catalogue of my own to draw from as well really depends on the target audience i suppose i could easily see my band blowing out a new kickass album or going one a tour just playing hits
i dont get the fascination with Prince or Elvis either
