Re: Tom Keifer is 51?!?!
Keifer got a major label kerfuffle back in the late 90s/early-oughts and has had a solo album perpetually "ready for release", "putting on the finishing touches", etc. for more than 10 years at this point. Between that and his voice troubles and some rumored depression (I honestly can't verify that last part), it just looks like time has slipped by.
I tend to believe he's not in the clear legally with some label, and is pissed enough that he'd rather sit on his stuff than put out new stuff.

Cinderella Frontman Tom Keifer To Release First Ever Solo Album
by Paul Cashmere on August 21, 2012
Tom Keifer, long-time singer and songwriter for Cinderella, will release his debut solo album in 2013.
A solo album for Tom Keifer has indeed a long while in the making. He first started working on a solo record after the break-up of Cinderella in 1995. It never happened. Instead, Cinderella reunited in 1997 and have had various tours since but did not record any more studio albums.
Keifer has signed with Jack Ponti’s Merovee Records, a joint venture with David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants.
The album will feature 14 tracks described by Ponti as “intimate, organic, acoustic tracks to driving hard rock. It embraces the blues, rock and country roots”.
The lyrics will take an introspective look at Keifer’s life these past 15 years. In that time he suffered a partially paralyzed left vocal chord and was told that he would never sing again.
Expect the Tom Keifer solo record around Spring 2013.
