Sort of - he does play the GNR hits live...

But he's also put out 2 albums in 3 years of new material.

So it's not exactly a covers project either.

I think Duff/Matt really fucked up by letting this happen though. Like VR doing what slash does now would have been even more impressive. Given the way the media treated them as GNR at first too, really could have started to give Axl a run for his money.
