Re: Nick Sterling out of Sebastian Bach Band?
This kid sounds perfect for GN'R.
And if anyone saw that Supergroup show with Baz on VH1 then you know Baz will make shit up, exaggerate and deliberately mislead people about things. I take what he says with a grain of salt.
I heard Eddie Trunk talk about this a little. Apparently Nick quit the band at soundcheck hours before they were supposed to play a gig that was streamed on live TV. Talk about bad timing. Since it was going to be on TV, Nick wanted a bigger piece of the pie since he had writing credits on many of the songs they were going to play. I guess in a way he has a point, but it seems like it could have been handled with a little more class. I guess they ended up getting guest guitarists (friends) to fill in throughout the set. But man, what a dick move! Baz was the kids biggest fan. Always had great things to say. Not a very nice way to repay him.

Yeah that's the way I see it.
The kid is pretty good, but he would be much of nowhere without Baz who has dragged him up a whole lot of levels.
So unless Baz was fucking him really really REALLY hard on percentage - like taking 100% using the kids own songs (keeping in mind that Baz as employer wears most of the risk for stuff like paying for video shoots) - then really seems out of line to walk.

Re: Nick Sterling out of Sebastian Bach Band?
Yeah it would be interesting to know.
Baz seemed like a nice guy when I met him too.
I remember pre-nick he was having trouble that his guitarists wanted to be paid to hang out and song-write with him, and not just shows, which did sound hard to put an album together in such circumstances.
So maybe Nick did those things free but wants a better cut in videos or something like that.
Then again - to be real here - it's Baz's band and Baz is the drawcard pulling in the audience - the band should be treated fairly, but it's also reasonable for Baz to be getting the lion's share (if he does) - because these guys as great as they are wouldn't be doing these kinds of gigs without Baz's starpower.

Baz has a new Axeman...Jeff George.....
He says they're starting on new music immediately.
