Bri,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, but 15k doesn't seem that much to me for the quality of care you recieved.  An inconvience maybe, but obviously you prepared for a financial burden like this and have a job that allowed you to do well.  I'd say you're pretty damn well off personally.

In America 99% have access to it.  Whether or not they act on it is a different story.

According to the US Census Bureau 299,398,484 people lived in the USA in 2006....1% of that is nearly 3 million people...so 3 million without healthcare...thats alot of fucking people

I didn't "choose" to have twins prematurely. That is not a choice. In fact, I didn't choose to have that number of kids. I got one more kid than I planned for. I didn't choose to rack up a bill of $300K. I didn't choose for my employer to cover only 95% of my bill. I have a damn good job and damn good coverage, but what does 5 percent of $300K equal? About $15K.

In Canada these types of situations don't arise...its covered...except the cost of the bed which is like $15 a day in a ward, semiprivate and privates cost more of course...for example my wife and i just gave birth to a girl in October...and after my benifits kicked in and 3 days in a private room, and an induced labour....it cost us $25 for the room

Hillary lost a supporter because of her nasty attacks on Barack in Iowa and New Hampshire on abortion. And she pretended like those health care and NAFTA mailings were the only negative ones of the campaign. She's been flat-out lying about his health care, including with fear-mongering mailings in Wisconsin and Ohio. The abortion thing was probably the nastiest mailing sent out in this campaign. It's gender-baiting and it helps explain how she won New Hampshire. It tore the party apart in that state.

Barack is less than 4,500 new donors away from having 1 million unique donors. Incredible.
