In 1997, given the band fails to deliver another album, Geffen Releases a double album, "The Spaghetti Incident?" containing B-Sides and left overs. "Since I Don't Have You" is the biggest hit of the album. It was based on a project of the band to release a covers album in 1994. long and boring day at work, I might have missed a few tracks here and there, did it all by memory. I was trying to remember the other Iggy and The Stooges track that was recorded for TSI? but never used.

Would they be praised as they are today if they have chosen to release more records instead of releasing all they had by 1991?

Due to the changing musical climate, UYI would have flopped in 1993 just like TSI did. Sure they were wrapping up their tour at that point but it would have went nowhere. I would have recommended another 2 year wait and unloaded it in 1995.

1991 was as perfect of a moment as possible. It came out a nanosecond before grunge exploded.  1990 would have been better as there was NOTHING but pop hits hitting the airwaves at the time.

What I think the most is that if GNR were to release all their materials in a more conventional way, they wouldn't have their mythic status of prolific classic songs all around.

awesome...I thought about a thread like this before. I will need a day to clear my head and chime in.....went to the Allman Brothers last night and got my face melted by Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes.

and James, for the record, the grunge guitarists couldn't hold Derek or Warren's jock!

and for the record, no new Gnr guitar player could either. Bucket is the last guy I saw that has those kinda chops and feeling. Trucks was just jaw dropping.

I like the track list for the alternate 2000 Intentions album. What about Down by the Ocean with Izzy that could of been on that possible record? 16
