Re: Hillary keeps digging her own grave...

Would someone please tell me what Obama's message of change and hope really means?  We're adults here, so let's have an adult conversation.  Words with no actions behind them doesn't seem like a prudent formula to follow nor criteria to elect a leader.  Where does Obama differ than Clinton and in what ways is it positive.  Frankly I see a bunch of cheer leaders who can't articulate a valid reason for their rabid support of a man who frankly has no substantial accomplishments.  If the world and America is in such the quagmire many would want us to believe, why would you want to put someone in office who can't provide examples of how he'll put us on the right path.  Other than an unneeded healthcare reform, can anyone provide me with specifics in what Obama will do to change America for the better?

He wants to end the war in Iraq, and that is for the better, no matter what you say.

Health care reform is not unneeded. Don't try to tell me it isn't. I had twins prematurely a couple years ago and the cost of 19 days in the hospital was more than $300K. I got stuck with a huge bill that I'm still trying to recover from.

He wants to invest in and improve education, not really a priority of republicans.

He supports climate control, again, not a real priority of the GOP, who puts business first. Especially Bush.

Those are four things off the top of my head.

Had Bush cut spending during his presidency(while keeping the tax cuts) things wouldn't be like they are now.

Ok, explain how he plans on doing those?  I support a focus on emission change, but my plan probably differs from what Obama would implement.  How does he want to improve education?  Bush created the No Child Left Behind Act and supports school vouchers which would do much more for an increase in quality of eduation than the tenure that exists in problem schools.

health care reform is not needed.  If you remove illegal aliens and those who can afford health care but choose not to pay for it, approx 3 million Americans are not insured.  If you don't have healthcare it's because you work a job that requires no competiton and your employer does not have to offer benefits to keep good workers or you choose not to pay for it and spend your money elsewhere.  Just because you choose to have children and work a job that doesn't provide you with the level of care you think you're entitled to doesn't mean I should have to pay for your poor choices in life.  I'm sure there were a multitude of factors in the costs of your delivery; personal doctors, special treatment, etc.  I personally know a family who had a premature child and Medicare paid for all the treatments.  Regardless, Obama's plan doesn't cover everyone so it's a moot point.  If you want the cost of healthcare to drop, allow the market forces to become involved and place a cap on the get rich quick lawsuits for everyone who feels they were wronged.

McCain wants virtually the entire country of Mexico covered here, so if you are anti illegal immigrant in this campaign, you are voting for the wrong side. I don't think I need to tell you what a disaster it would be for McCain to give health coverage to Mexico.

I have no idea how either side can improve the education system at the child level since it is such a disaster. One thing at the college level that can be done is increase the amount of money given for student grants.

I agree with you on your assessment James, but Obama also presumably (no formal plan has been outlined) wants to increase or at minimum, restore tax levels to the middle class.

Well, we are at the point where a tax increase is required. There's really no point in any of these candidates saying they'll give tax cuts. Its impossible. The country has to pay for the 8 year blank check Bush used, and the main way to fix that is a tax increase. Thats just to help dig us out of this hole we are in. Its not counting any bold programs that Obama might attempt. Taxes will have to go up even more if that is the case. Obama has even said that "change will not be easy". He is correct. We have to pay for the frivolous spending of the Bush years.

Look, I'll debate with you if you  like, but not if you're gonna be an asshole and say I've made poor choices in my life. Fuck you.

Wow, Barack's learning curve in the debates has been amazing. As good of a debater as Hillary is, I think he has actually surpassed her. He's hanging toe to toe with her, and because of her whiney bitch attitude (very disrespectful towards Russert), he comes across far more Presidential than her.

Hillary's campaign is officially over. I have not watched it all, but what I did watch was not pretty. She knows she cant win, and is like a rabid dog on the loose. The immaturity coming from her is amazing.

I'm amazed she even made it this far in her political career.

Its over. Not just her presidential aspirations, but most likely her entire political career.

She'll get killed if/when she runs for reelection to the Senate.

The democrats are lucky Obama entered the race. Had he not, Hillary would have a cakewalk to the nomination and would have been destroyed by any opponent.

I had no idea she was really this bad. Her true colors have shown tonight, and if she has any class whatsoever, will drop out of the race tomorrow morning.

Look, I'll debate with you if you  like, but not if you're gonna be an asshole and say I've made poor choices in my life. Fuck you.

I don't think he meant it to sound as personal as it did. A republican talking point is if you disagree with any of their agenda, you are a drug addict on welfare.

Having said, Flagg should try and keep anything resembling a personal attack out of debates.
