Eric clapton rhythm/lead guitar

If the goal was to make a really functional band, I would have dropped EVH for Clapton even though I can't stand his singing.  I like EVH more, but seeing how the band developed, Clapton would have fit it better.

Other people definately have "heavier" and more talented musicians than I do, but I don't think anyone will come close to touching mine as a pop/rock and songwriting outfit.  I could put on a never ending show of some of the greatest pop/rock songs written in music history.

i was gonna go with phil collins for drums but i've just seen Me Wise already picked him 10

i'll go with travis barker for drums

Good choice! No hard feelings man? 19 I'm just a fan of Phil's drumming style as well as his voice and songwriting! In The Air Tonight drum break..nuff said! 5

nah, no problem. i was going for a 'fun' band and phil seemed a nice choice but travis was my second option so it's all good 16

Ah..that's good to hear! Yeah...you got some great players in yours. Especially Claypool on bass with Izzy, Freddie and Tom. That's a strong foundation of rock!  Les Claypool was going to be my original choice; but I decided to go with Geddy because I'm more of a Rush fan and he still plays amazing on bass. It was a struggle due to Claypool's fun playing style and the South Park theme, Robot Chicken, songs from Primus, and The fucking Ballad of Buckethead....so many good compositions. 11 I can't wait for the final results from people! smile

I'll take Matt Cameron on drums with the 60th overall selection.

Now my 61st pick might not fit, it depends on how open 'utility' is. If it's totally open, I'll take Shannon Hoon, for his songwriting, singing, and harmonica playing. If he's too much of a 2nd frontman, proceed on while I think over someone else.

From my understanding of the rules, you're welcome to call Hoon the utility guy and use him any way you see fit.

that's my understanding as well

well, i mean we can use the GNR method where u can have another band member sing two songs max or something but there has to be a defined undisputed lead singer.
