Re: "Other" Songs by Well Known Bands
Love this song! One of Wings most underrated songs and it's got a great beat.
Re: "Other" Songs by Well Known Bands
I'll have to take the time to get acquainted with many of these songs that I'm not familiar with. For me, I was never a big Nirvana fan back in the day. I enjoyed some of their stuff, but I was more of a Pearl Jam guy. I always loved their "MTV Unplugged" appearance though. Could've chosen a few tracks off that disc, but I'll go with this one. A lot of power and emotion at the end of this song. Gets me every time.

My favorite track from this set has to be The Man Who Sold The World! Kurt is on fire with both songs and so are the rest of the band with the touring musicians. I can barely listen to Where now because it's so chilling towards the end with that final scream. MTV Unplugged is definitely one of the best Nirvana performances.

Lately I've been dusting off a few of my old Manson albums, I'm loving it, forgot how brilliant he used to be. Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood are crammed full with great tunes.
Shame he's been such a junked out wreck since those days. I never really liked Eat Me Drink Me much but it did have this gem buried in it...

Re: "Other" Songs by Well Known Bands
A lot of my influences came from my parents (mostly my mom) and my brothers. I grew up listening to oldies (mom), folk (dad), metal (older brother), and new wave/progressive (younger brother). I heard a lot of different music - some good, some not so good - but all of it shaped what I enjoy musically.
My brothers and I actually had a band for a while when we were in high school. My younger brother played drums, my older brother lead guitar, and I was singer/keyboards/guitar/the guy that figured out how to play the songs and tought them to the guitar player (since this was before TABS were easily available). We were pretty bad, but it was fun. I think we could have been pretty good if we put an effort into it, but it was just something we did to pass time.
Somewhere there's a VHS tape of us performing Once Bitten Twice Shy and Patience at a talent show in school. I'm sure it was amusing...
