Re: Tommy Video Interview From Hellfest
Ha!
Paulie is still a hero tho.
I listened to this Tommy interview but didn't watch the vid & didn't think he came across as arrogant.
However as long as it's up for discussion, I have noticed that kinda attitude from vids n shit before. Having said that, I assume a lot of that is a defence against bs.
Not everyone is happy-go-lucky, or everyone is even respectful.
& they don't have media training for this shit like pop stars like selena gomez bono britney etc
Re: Tommy Video Interview From Hellfest
I met Tommy in 2004, he was great to us. We were like four-five GNR fans coming to his show. In fact, I was surprised how easy going he was, told us inside GNR stuff as easy as anything. I was surprised when I read this, that people think he's a douche. He certainly wasn't that to me.
Re: Tommy Video Interview From Hellfest
Yeah, in 2010 in Porto Alegre he was a class act on the short stay around here. Got to talk to him and Bumble quickly. Even after the disastrous loss of a friend at the night of the show, Tommy was polite and, obviously, devastated by the occurrence.

That's good to hear! Rock stars go through terrible personal shit like everybody else. It's hard to put on a smile when something like that happens.

He did sign a cool autograph for my daughter when I met him....I said, " can you sign this for my daughter...her name is Caroline." He signed it, Caroline! Don't Do it!"...which is now appropriate for a 13 year old girl.:peace:

Yeah, I didn't get a "douchey" vibe at all from that interview.
And as for mikka's no new album comment. I can only assume that he's taking Tommy not mentioning anything about a new album as a sign that there won't be a new album, at least in the short term. He may be right, but I don't think you can base that off of this interview. This 3 minute interview had nothing to do with discussing GNR's future plans. If the interview ran for an hour or so and nothing on the subject was said, I may give that rationale more credence. Seems more like "not hearing what you want to hear" or maybe in this case hearing what you want to hear, so you can complain about what WASN'T said.

Me either. I was wondering about that post and forgot to mention it.
They didn't ask him about the pink elephant in the room, but asked about anything that doesn't matter and never did. I'm bloody sure that the camp requested the 'no album question' treatment.
BTW I've just read a Dizzy Reed interview. Try to translate it to you, but I think it'll be via google, then I'll try to correct it. That's not promising either. But he does talk about the 'album'.
