And here I am in 1987 kickin' it with Pope John Paul II just like U2's Bono has been known to do. Guess I have a guy on the inside looking out for me now Seriously though this was taken by a newspaper and my family had no idea untill it was featured on the front page. It really is a one in a billion photo if ya think about it. I'm the only white kid surrounded by native kids and the sun is shining directly on my face as the Pope blesses me. You could not set up a better shot if you tried.

Kickin' it on the Columbia Ice Field in Jasper national park in Alberta, Canada. We'd walk to the base, put out skates on, walk about 500 meters up and then skate down. the tourists, even Canadians thought we were nuts. If by nuts they mean fucking cool then yeah!
