Re: GUNS N' ROSES: Israeli TV Report (Axl drinking shots at a bar)
Well, it's obvious Axl likes to drink...whether or not it's a "problem" probably depends on information we don't have.
Does it interfere with other parts of his work? (I doubt it, I think without drinking he' be additionally reclusive and that delays in his world would happen anyway). Is it bad for his health? (Maybe...we don't know how often he drinks and what quantities..I'll grant from the accidents and so on there's anecdotal evidence that he might be drinking heavily...but it's also not really laid out anywhere explicitly enough to rightly label it a problem yet IMO)
As for him being out in public, I see both sides of it, it's cool that he's out socialising with fans - I'd have a whiskey with him anyday - but it also isn't something that should be blown out of proportion - he's not giving access to fans the way people like Bumble have (especially prior to his injury) and the way bands like Megadeth and so on do. Not that he has to...but these interactions are coincidental not sort out.

Mikka, you can tell Axl likes the booze...no doubt. But, to compare Axl and Tommy to Steven is idiotic. Steven is a fuckin moron. Plain and simple.
Being a moron or drinking too much booze are different things. I think Axl and especially Tommy are drinking much more than Steven these days. Steven is still brain-dead though.
monkey: I don't know if drinking effects Axl's work. I'd say yes, to a degree, cause his drunk accidents effect the shows for sure. I don't know if his drinking habit will further delay any album that is or isn't in his plans. If there is any plan except drinking a lot of tequila. But anyone who drinks this much that changes even his face, has a drinking problem.
Some of you guys here think that Axl met some fans and he happened to share drinks with them. I think he went to party and drink and some fans happened to be there. It's hard to go to any place and not find GN'R fans. He didn't run away, but drank with whoever was there. If it's the fan friendly moment for you, then be it. I don't share this opinion. I would agree with you more, if Axl wouldn't avoid their own meet and greets and backstage parties.

Re: GUNS N' ROSES: Israeli TV Report (Axl drinking shots at a bar)
What do you mean about changing his face? That he's flushed? Don't forget he's also a pale skinned redhead kind of a dude...I have very white skin also and I flush pretty easily...although being a rock star I'm sure he does like a good drink too...but you don't want to read too much into it.
Same with the falls. Accidents happen, I'm an unco dude on the best of days, and he is 50 or whatever too.....I dunno...there's lots of anecdotes about axl drinking so you could be right he might be a really heavy drinker these days....but I also think it would be easy to assume the worst just because he's been seen out a bit drinking and fell over a couple of times recently...

One last warning on this.

Dumbest fucking comment I've ever read
When a guy makes a comment in such a condescending way, suggesting something that isn't even remotely close to true he's clearly looking to start shit so yeah it was one of the dumbest comments I've ever read.
I'm sick people making snide ass remarks and subtle insults and it's acceptable around here.
Do what you gotta do Russ but yeah DCK's comment was one of the dumbest fucking comments I've ever read. Seems as long as you insult someone in a passive aggressive, "subtle" way it's ok around here.
Re: GUNS N' ROSES: Israeli TV Report (Axl drinking shots at a bar)
In defense of Bono, he used to be a total nutswinging fanboy back in the day, but I think there's been so much seperation from that time period, that there's an entire generation of a userbase that just remembers him now as "the hater".
I think the guy loves Guns N' Roses, he's obviously been to shows, but I think he just disagrees with EVERY DECISION Axl makes about EVERYTHING.
And I can't blame him there. Axl Rose has not made ONE right decision post-1993 concerning GN'R.
But at the end of the day... you live with your decisions. That applies to all of us here, including fans, not just Axl. Eventually you get over it or you move on.
