Re: GNR’s and SLASH’s performance of Paradise City in HELLFEST, France
Here already mentioned that GNR and Slash both took part in HELLFEST, GNR at June, 16th at mainstage1, and Slash at June, 17th at mainstage2. Both of them have finished their sets with Paradise City. It was interesting for me to compare video from fans.
IMHO GNR sounds much more powerful, provide better show and much more kick ass.

I think that has a lot to do that they've been doing it as a band longer. Plus, GN'R has three guitarists and Mother Goose
Slash's backing band isn't as tight as GN'R and, imo, aren't on Slash's level. And Jesus Christ, I can't stand Myles. If this was VR it'd be a lot more interesting comparison.

That is the worst sounding wah I have ever heard. Axl sounds fine, but Slash's guitar slays Ron's and DJ's.

I think I could some up my views on this thread like so:
I've never heard anyone play Slash's guitar parts as well as Slash does.
I've never heard anyone sing Axl's songs as well as Axl does.
I don't think I ever will.

Seriously? They fucking nailed that shit. Axl was spot on too, imo.
Dare I say, I'd love to hear Slash playing with THIS Gn'R line up.
Yeah of course they did. Ummm..... NO. Gn'R's intro sounded fucking terrible. Off time and weak. Axl even blew the timing on blowing the whistle. Look at Axl's body language even he knows it sucked. Musically it was alright and Axl sounded ok at best but he sure as hell wasn't spot on. More out of breath than anything.
Slash's band performed it better. Stayed more true to the spirit of it, it was tighter and the intro was ten times better than Gn'R's. The outro was also better. Myles sounded like Myles but to be honest he performs the song better live than Axl does these days. No different than SCOM. Axl sounds out of breath all the time.
And hearing Slash play with this Gn'R would accomplish what? Four guitar players or you drop one and have Slash share duties with Ashba and Ron? Pointless.
