Re: Aerosmith Discussion
Wow that's a fuckin' awesome setlist that uses some classic 70's tracks, while also giving some variety of their later hits for a nice break. There's even room to bring in more 80's songs, as well as new songs off the album if they want to alternate the ballads every so often on the 90' stuff.
Nice balance. Dig it.
Re: Aerosmith Discussion
I'm hip to that set list.
I don't see myself ever paying to see Aerosmith again (I've seen them a ton already) but if I went to a show for free or something, I'd be happy with that set. Especially opening with Draw The Line.
This is my favorite version of Draw The Line ever:
They go into F.I.N.E. from Pump in the middle of it. So cool.
Love it... Pump was their last GREAT record... that was fucking awesome.

Re: Aerosmith Discussion
Busted out their live album A Little South Of Sanity recently, and damn they're a kickass live rock n roll band, well, in 1998 they were when that album was recorded.
I forgot how much I loved Aerosmith back then too.
So I strongly disagree with this:
Pump was their last GREAT record...
Both Get A Grip and Nine Lives were pretty great albums, they lost me at Just Push Play.

I didn't like this song too much the first time I heard it, but I just watched the video and was grooving.

Oh, and this.

Steven Tyler is leaving ‘American Idol’
Giving credence to the rumor that ‘American Idol’ will have three all new judges next season, Henifaa Yopez told the Today show this morning that “maybe it’s time for me to go”, and now Steven Tyler–who could have dragged this out for months to be the center of attention like some media whores–has released a statement saying it’s definitely time for him to go.
“After some long … hard … thoughts … I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress American Idol before she boils my rabbit. I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back — but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I’ve got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band.”
Meanwhile, Randy Jackson is laying low, screening phone calls from Fox, and hoping no one remembers to deactivate his key card.
