Re: Axl's voice overs in GTA: SA

Hey it would be even greater, if he said hey I heard that a second GNR record is coming out in a few weeks by that old bastard, Axl Rose. Or make puns or references about the album's development. It would help him be more down to earth.  16 Or those in game ex-wife jokes work too.

Does anyone remember on the other rock station on the game, the female DJ when she played WTTJ would come back on air after the song and say 'you know I slept with that guy once' 16 ?

Probably my favourite game of all time, made even better by Axls little cameo.

Even better would be a reference to a 2002 show. For instance, yeah back in 02 in NY or Detroit, me and my crew went to see the new GNR perform and then suddenly he would bring up Bucket or some random occurrence  and have a WTF reaction to it. Totally would make my day. Artists need to take a step back and have a laugh. DJ, Ron, and everyone is saying that Axl's a joke master on tour and I want some damn proof! 14 I only got a sample of it during some cracks or rants during the last couple of tours and the TMS interview.

Remember how awesome it was driving over Shady Creek & up into San Fierro w/ Axl & Skynyrd Freebird for company?

Ah.. We spent a great summer together that summer..

Until the shitty stealth missions like in the casino & the shitty aeroplane flying threatened to ruin it..

But it was great while it lasted. Unforgettable!

I feel like that too, I spent so much time playing GTA SA, and K-DST was pretty much on all the time.

I mean, just look at the track-list, its awesome!

Foghat - Slow Ride (1975)
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Green River (1969)
Heart - Barracuda (1977)
KISS - Strutter (1974)
Toto - Hold the Line (1978)
Rod Stewart - Young Turks (1981)
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Running Down a Dream (1989)
Joe Cocker - Woman to Woman (1972)
Humble Pie - Get Down to It (1973)
Grand Funk Railroad - Some Kind of Wonderful (1974)
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird (1974)
America - A Horse With No Name (1972)
The Who - Eminence Front (1982)
Boston - Smokin' (1976)
David Bowie - Somebody Up There Likes Me (1974)
Eddie Money - Two Tickets to Paradise (1978)
Billy Idol - White Wedding (1982)

I know that K-DST station was friggin' awesome. Great song list. Honestly, all of the stations were awesome. Radio X had a mixture of modern hard rock/metal with grunge. It ruled. Radio Los Santos with gangsta rap was an awesome soundtrack featuring the likes of Snoop, NWA, Dre. Even K-Rose with classic country had an awesome collection of some of the best classic country, and the host of it was a total honky tonk bar slut. Funny as hell.

Really the music was never better in the GTA series, than it was in San Andreas, which was pretty big considering Vice City had an awesome soundtrack that really captured a 1986 Miami feel.

Yeah that chick was awesome. Alot of people forget that Axl was on K-DST, yet GNR's Welcome To The Jungle was on Radio X with Alice In Chains, Faith No More, Ozzy, etc.

The chick had a direct Axl comment also with, "Kilts are SO ALTERNATIVE! You're listening to Radio X!"

This was right in 1992. Right when Axl would've been rockin' the kilt. 9
