Re: The Stone Roses Begin Reunion Tour
They only have 2 albums.
You need them. Now.
One of the greatest British/English rock bands.
You haven't heard a rock anthem til you've heard I Wanna Be Adored, Fools Gold or I Am the Resurrection. Or Waterfall/She Bangs the Drums for that matter, pop perfection.
Saw Ian Brown a few yrs ago & he played a few Roses tunes & it was INSANE so these shows are gonna be off the charts. There is nothing but LOVE for this music & when you experience it you'll know.
Songs to live for.
John Squire was primed to be the next great English guitar hero, & he was for a while. While Mani of course went on to create a catalogue of magic in Primal Scream.

Stone Roses Drummer Walks Out Of Gig
by VVN Music on June 13, 2012
Reunion tours many times include a great deal of drama but that should be expected. After all, for many of the groups, if they had a harmonious relationship, they would probably have still been together.
The Stone Roses’ tour had its first blowup on Tuesday night at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, Holland when their drummer, Reni (Alan Renn), suddenly got up and walked off stage at the end of the main set and refused to return. NME is reporting that an inside source said there was a problem with the drum kit which may have led to the situation.
Whether that is the truth or not, lead Ian Brown had a bit of a meltdown on his own, returning to the stage to tell the crowd “The drummer’s gone home. I’m not joking, the drummer’s gone home. Get all your aggro out on me, I can take it. What can I say, the drummer’s a cunt.”
Another source told NME that the crowd went into a chorus of boos and started throwing beer at the stage.
The band’s first tour in 16 years started just last Friday.

I still don't even know who the fuck these guys are.
Ever heard of Oasis?
What about The Beatles? They were these four guys from Liverpool...
I kid of course. The Stone Roses were very much a UK phenomenon. They captured a moment, the rock band for the acid house-era. They incorporated that rave-style sound into transcendent trippy pop-rock anthems. & they did it majestically.
Seriously I can't recommend highly enough. Smoke a big bifter & fire on their debut. It's great music.
