Oh yeah I checked out some of the voice over clips a few months back. When I read wikipedia that Uncle Axl was on GTA, I was like holy shit!! Some of the material he says is fucking hysterical! 
He needs to do more voice overs or cameos..dammit!

I'm a huge GTA-fan, played them all and really got a kick outta seeing Axl's name in the booklet when the game first came out. I read the booklet on the busride home BEFORE I even played the game! 
But there were a LOT here that I hadn't heard before! So thanx!

Remember how awesome it was driving over Shady Creek & up into San Fierro w/ Axl & Skynyrd Freebird for company?
Ah.. We spent a great summer together that summer..
Until the shitty stealth missions like in the casino & the shitty aeroplane flying threatened to ruin it..
But it was great while it lasted. Unforgettable!

I actually had already pre-bought GTA: San Andreas when it came out, and had no clue Axl was in the game until I flipped it over to K-DST.
The voice was very VERY familiar. Then it dawned on me who it was (this was within seconds btw).
I checked the manual that came with it and none other than W. Axl Rose being credited as the DJ.
Obviously Lazlow or someone else wrote his material, but he was funny as hell, with great timing and inflection. It'd be cool if Axl reprised the role for the upcoming return to San Andreas with "Grand Theft Auto V" as an older version of Tommy "The Nightmare" Smith, DJ'ing on the current rock station, and talking about how all of them suck.

maybe axl would come across well if he did a radio show irl - like bob dylan.
it could maybe help his image(!)
& i mean from what i can tell he's got a great wide ranging taste in music. from recent memory songs he's referenced like hey bulldog, lonely teardrops, that diana ross love hangover on the live versions of ITW. going back to TSI? song selection even.
i suppose tho he would need a sympathetic editor.
which is something he's never been able to find before so...

I would laugh my ass off if it did happen. 
It would be even more classic if he made fun of himself by playing a GNR song on the station. Which he'd probably never do even if the writers put it in his script.
