He's an official photographer for when the band is on tour.  Aside from that, he may have additional responsibilities.

Jarmo said that they'd be filling the Auction room with items in the coming weeks, days, whatever.  With GNR you never know.  Could be years, or never. 10

Why would anybody want to buy something that could not be authenticated? Sure it's probably from the crew, but when you buy something like that it matters if you can show it's legit.

He was probably required urgently for something important like cleaning the skid marks from Axl's undies.

Yeah I agree, the stuff will be legit but it matters for resale at a later date.  Not sure why they wouldn't get one of the lackys to try and authenticate what they could, I would imagine it would mean more dollars for them if they did.

If they were simply wanting to sell stuff and didn't care about the GNR connection and the extra $$ value that could bring, why mention it on the forums?  Just throw it on the relevant open market and get what the piece is worth without the provenance?

I see there are some road cases up for auction now.

They probably don't need authenticating, pretty easy to tell they are legit even for resale.

You're a rabid collector aren't you Aussie?  Any plans to get in on any of the stuff?  Depending of course, on what exactly they offer.

Depends what's there.  Hopefully there may be some cool stuff, but if there is there will probably be some heavy bidding competition.

Although the last few months I have had to curb my discreationary spending on collecting crap.  Having a young child and another due in a couple of months changes priorities.
