Re: London, June 1 2012
Same here! It would be pretty cool if he played a couple of shows during this tour like he did back in 06. We'll see what happens I guess.

Why not Dust N' Bones?
Anyone notice that Axl does far more UYI II songs than UYI I?
Just curious why...
I think the UYI II songs are probably easier for him to sing. UYI I is loaded with more fast paced rockers that require more venom in his voice. He does the more mellow shit on UYI II aside form YCBM which he lamost ahs to play as it's a mainstream classic.
I honestly can't see him singing DDM, Dead Horse, Coma, RNDTH, Perfect Crime, Back Off Bitch anymore. the never ever did the Garden of eden live. His voice woudln't handle those songs in 2012 and they'd likely sound like shit.
He could pull off Bad Obsession. You Ain't the First, The Garden and Bad Apples and Dust N' Bones but most people don't really wanna hear those. I'd like to hear The Garden though personally. Not sure why he'd never do Dust N' Bones. maybe it's too obscure. For my tastes it was always a first ballot filler on the illusions. One of the first along with Bad Apples, Bad Obsession, Pretty Tied Up, Get in the Ring and My World that I'd have dropped from those albums.

Dust N' Bones is too obscure? Huh? Dust N' Bones is probably more popular in the fanbase than 14 Years, and the pacing and tempo is basically identical. DnB is the Izzy song on UYI I and 14Yr is the Izzy song on UYI II. I wonder if the fact Slash seemed to be more dominate on DnB is the reason, I dunno. For some reason when I think instrumentals on 14Yr I think of Dizzy's piano more. I'm weird.
As for Garden of Eden, it actually was played live on a few shows on the 1993 Skin N' Bones North American leg. I think the most commonly traded performance was Austin, TX 1993. There might be more, but it was definitely played live on that show.
Don't Damn Me, Get In The Ring, Shotgun Blues & My World were the only original GN'R songs NOT played live in the history of the band
Btw, I agree the ballad-heavy UYI II is probably the reason he leans on it ultimately more than UYI I. Even the two of three UYI I songs are both ballads.
