Re: Guns N' Roses Live! Era 2001/2012
I came to work thinking about what would make a great live album from the Chinese Democracy Tours.
Thought about creating a set list, informing where the song was played and try to compile the best live versions, rare songs, etc that would represent what Guns N' Roses was live in the 2000's and reflecting setlists and stuff.
Would you guys help me out?
The format: It'll be great to have an youtube link, but can be just an audio reference.
The tracklist: Thinking of a double album, such as the Era 87-93, so with the same ammount of songs (and three bonus tracks for the Japanese market 
and iTunes)

Paradise City Rock in Rio 3 2001, Welcome to the Jungle either Reading 2010 or one of the current shows from the 2011 U.S. tour. ..or Jungle from Lisbon 2006. Oh My God Rio 2001, Madagascar from either a 2002 show or 2006. Live and Let Die Florida 2011, Axl screams were intense and powerful! You got to put in the first inclusion of Civil War in years from the recent U.S. tour on this set list for a live album. Night train or Paradise from Download 2006 with Izzy would be great additions too. That's all I can think of at the moment. Have fun with it man!

A recommendation that just slipped my mind. I would go with checking out some Youtube clips of performances from the Osaka 2009 gig. Had some great live content that could deliver on what you are looking for.
Better from this gig was great too or from the 2011 shows.

Ultimately ID is right, to truely get a good representation, especially with the irratic setlists, you'd have to piece it together. Almost more like CD than the original Live Era. I guarantee you more fans would want Robin & Bucket's 2001/02 Street of Dreams, whereas some fans would want DJ's SCOM, while other fans would want the 2006 versions of Better, etc.
