Someone over on HTGTH said they came out to "Watch This" in the Canadian version.  Also said that the show was 20 minutes shorter than it was supposed to be, with the GNR omissions presumably.  Strange.

YES! That's what it was. I was thinking it might've been a  Slash solo song and it was driving me nuts why i coldn't thik which VR song it was 14  It was definitely Watch This. And yes the show was cut by 20 minutes which would be the entire Gn'R performance. Incredibly weird.  That's why I'm thinking maybe HBO in Canada aired the "legal" telecast. There's gotta be a reason why those of us in Canada saw/heard what we did. It's not my cable provider I know that. That just doesn't make sense to me.  Like I said I blame CANADA!

They came out to PC on my recording.

the youtube clip I watched I heard Jungle and now that I think of it that might've been as Green Day was getting ready to induct them.

So different regions of the globe got different versions of the show? Happens with movies obviously(alt endings), but totally bizarre for something like this. I was talking to someone as it began, but it sounded like a live version or instrumental(no Axl) of PC as they walked onstage.

This reminds me back in 2006 when the Black Christmas remake came out. FIVE different versions hit theaters and when people started reviewing it on horror sites, everyone was accusing others of lying and not actually watching it. 14

I wanna see the video montage (I assume there is one)...in other words, the band highlights...not the performance but video clips of the original band.

Glad to have semi-backup. That's what I heard, too. No vocals, PC.

Just saw it, They fucking killed Sweet Child. Myles included, did a great job with that tune. He didn't fair well with PC but the band was tight.

Everyone knows i'm not a big fan of Myles, but straight up truth

Myles sings SCOM better than Axl today. hmm

It might just be your cable provider.

Why on earth would my cable provider(Shaw cable) ommit Guns N' Roses and only Guns N' Roses and why would that cause me to hear them playing a VR song when Gn'R took the stage to accept their induction? I wish I could figure out which song it was. I know they actually took the stage to Jungle.  I specifically remember thinking it odd that VR was what was coming out of my TV.  Then I was super pissed the entire Guns N' Roses performance was skipped. So weird. You could be right but  I can't for the life of me think why my cable provider would do that.  I could see maybe editing out Gn'R for time but to switch out Jungle for a VR song? No way. Plus it was on tv for 3 hours. Makes no sense to cut out the most popular band there.

the good news is others saw the actual thing so I have no doubt it'll surface eventually.

I blame CANADA!

Axl told you to blame Canada in 2002. 16

The horror genre is NOTORIOUS for shit like that. Numerous alternate versions, and different countries getting different films. THEN when you get to television syndication, even newer versions emerge.

Look at Halloween 6. First there was a Producer's Cut, which was the intended version, and basically an entirely different film. Then theaters get the known theatrical cut, with an entirely different final act. Several title changes occur throughout the world. Then when the film gets syndicated for TV markets worldwide for Halloween time, a new TV version emerges that is a hybrid between the Producer's and the Theatrical. Then years later, another version emerges that is re-labeled a "Director's Cut" that was some sort of cut version of the reshoot version of the Theatrical version.

There was a small article on Axl Rose in People Magazine a few weeks back.  I haven't seen it posted.  It's nothing groundbreaking or anything.  I scanned the article but can't figure out how to make it larger.  If anyone can lend a hand with that, much obliged.  Again, nothing earth shattering here, but thought I'd share.  And instead of starting a new thread, I figured I'd add it here since it starts off by mentioning the Hall of Fame snub.

Not really sure how to help you faldor. All you can do is try to scan them large, usually most scanning programs have that. And then load it up to an image host.

If you can't scan it any larger, you might could work up a transcript of it to post in text form.
