That was so fucking badass. I cried my eyes out. Slash fucking delivered like a motherfucker. Jesus, on fire. Loved seeing duff, Adler, Gilby, and Matt rock the fuck out. Myles was the perfect fill in. So powerful. Very moving. Damn. Wow. HD does wonders.
You should upload it mate

Re: RRHOF Induction on HBO tonight.
I think the solo in Don't Damn Me has a couple of pinch harmonics thrown into the fast run part of it too.....gives it that manic feel....
And he's long added them into Nighttrain.....
Speaking of Harmonics....it's a natural harmonic not pinched...but I love that one Slash hits during Civil War and then bends the neck of the quitar to make it dip...sounds fucking killer up close on his new AFD amp range....when I saw him up close it melted my ears in the best possible way!

Re: RRHOF Induction on HBO tonight.
Monkey, the natural harmonics only happen at certain frets right? But I can get a squeal or "pinch harmonic" at any fret! Any string.

Re: RRHOF Induction on HBO tonight.
Yeah...I'm not an expert but I would explain it as...
Natural Harmonics are at certain places on the guitar. There's a whole math reason about why it is that's basically entirely above my comprehension. They're easier to sound at some places than others, and for that matter, easier to ring cleanly on some guitars than others too I think.
There's a lot that used, but common places to use them are the 12th fret, 5th fret or 7th fret.
It's done with the fretting hand but lighting fretting where you want the harmonic - but not pressing down like you would to play the note - rather just holding it softly like almost how you would mute it. Also do it over the actual fret bar and not in the space to finger if that makes sense.
So like literally on the 7th fret line and not in the gap.
Some people just use them to tune but you hear them around in songs. Most of the whammy bar dives guys like EVH or Vai do involves hitting one then going nuts with the whammy. Or Slash does it in civil war bending the guitar neck. Or in the WWE - HHH's theme played by motorhead back in the day had some in....or...STP's "Sex Type Thing" has them in the verse in a seriously cool way.
Pinched Harmonics can be done anywhere as it's about how you pick the note not frett it...and it's pretty much all in the thumb. I love them too....I love the more subtle ones with low gain like ZZ Top do....and also the monster ones with massive gain..like on Zakk's version of Crazy Train...
