Re: Courtney Love Forfeits Rights To Cobain's Image To Daughter
Finally some poetic justice. Courtney needs to fucking act her age. This isn't '94 anymore. Wish all the best for Frances and hopefully she uses his father's image in a better light. There is still some solo music that has yet to be released even though the last Nirvana song that will ever be released is You Know You're Right.

Re: Courtney Love Forfeits Rights To Cobain's Image To Daughter
I think Courtney has made some great songs over the years and I truly believe she did love Kurt despite all the conspiracies, business deals, and other b.s. It seems she was starting to grow up once she released that Behind the Music special and the release of Nobody's Daughter. Now it seems she needs to move from all that and leave it to Frances to let her do her own thing and allow Kurt's music and image to appear whenever she feels it's appropriate. This may be the only way she can truly understand her father. The Dave Grohl accusation was just flat out childish and a low blow. Russ, I wanted to know your opinion on the album, Nobody's Daughter? I've gotten mixed opinions from critics and fans. I saw it at Hot Topic about a year and a half ago. I've listened to some of Celebrity Skin and Live Through This in the past.

Courtney Love has hated Dave Grohl forever, she's taken every chance she has had to take ridiculous shots at him since Cobain died. I'd really like to know what she thinks he did that started the whole thing.
The fact that she would wrap her own child up in that bullshit now is mindblowing even from a trainwreck like her.

Re: Courtney Love Forfeits Rights To Cobain's Image To Daughter
Yeah I wonder that as well. I think she has a problem with him mentioning Kurt alot sometimes which shouldn't be a problem at all. They were band mates and friends and who knows if they talked alot about personal stuff or not. There was an accusation that Kurt was going to fire Dave during part of the '93 In Utero tour since Kurt wasn't a fan of his drumming at the time or some crap like that; plus he was heavily on heroin drugs on top of that. Also there were disagreements with money and music publishing rights. Dave is one of the coolest guys in rock and the Foo Fighters and Nirvana are some of my favorite bands. I personally like some of the Foo's music more than Nirvana's too. He plays in Tenacious D and other bands too. It could be jealousy or some other crap. She should just keep her mouth shut and leave it at that. She even was going to fight a fan for having a Kurt & Courtney and Nirvana poster in the concert seats. I just hope Frances doesn't have to live with her parent's dark past and she is able to find her own path to happiness and good fortune. She sang backing vocals mixed in with several other artists on this musical project called Evelyn Evelyn by Amanda Palmer & other artists. She does some art work and other independent projects. I'm glad she isn't mooching off the estate and she's using that money properly to sustain a modest living with the money and work she's made on her own.

If I remember correctly there was some interview where Dave called Courtney, "the Yoko of grunge"
It was all downhill from there.

He's really come into his own as a front man and musician since the last few Foo records. I like it that he always tries to bring in some new sounds after every record. Wasting Light is a great heavy rock record where like every song on has that early mid 90s or early 2000s rock vibe that I love. Every song on there sounds fresh and sounds great in the car!
