Re: Most Recent Movie You've Seen
just saw 21 Jump Street. Fucking hilarious. I thought t looked damn stupid but after hearing a lot of positive reviews me and a buddy went tonight. Laughed the whole time. Best comedy I have seen in years. Both Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum were awesome in it.

Re: Most Recent Movie You've Seen
Go see Project X, now. everyone. im not joking. watch this trailer if you havent heard about it.
I saw this because some friends wanted to see it, and I didn't think very much of it at all.
I also saw John Carter recently and I thought that was excellent. I don't get all the bad reviews it's getting.
Ok, it's a bit predictable and it's a bit typical Disney, but it was a hell of a lot of fun and really entertaining!

Yeah i've been hearing that alot. I was a big fan of the original TV series (own all 5 seasons on DVD).
Problem is, the original series (especially in the second half of Season 2 and later on), was suprisingly serious, drama-based, with stories based on AIDS-based suicides, race wars, rape, child abuse & murder, etc.
So when I saw how fuckin' hokey the remake film is, I thought "great... another Starsky & Hutch".
But i'm hearing nothing but GREAT things about the new Jump St. It's comedy-based, but it's well-done and most of the original cast makes some cameo appearences.
Might check it out if I can get the chance.
Re: Most Recent Movie You've Seen
Seen Avengers Bootleg last night. It was okay, but it's basically just Iron Man with characters from other films mixed it.
There's not a whole lot of plot, but there's lots of explosions I guess. It's the other side of the spectrum vs. Dark Knight series.

My room mate is going to see it tonight (his buddy runs a theater, they always watch everything early) and he said he thinks it's gonna be exactly what you just said.
yeah I've got tickets for it tomrrow night. My brother wanted to go so we got tickets. I'm afraid it'll be excatly what's just been described here. Explosions bore me to be honest. I'm a story kinda guy. Action is ok but excessive action and I tune out. See Michael Bays' bullshit Transformers movies as an example.
Re: Most Recent Movie You've Seen
All I've heard about it are great things. I hear Mark Ruffalo is the highlight with his portrayal of Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Either way, I'm fuckin stoked. I think it's gonna be more than just explosions, but if not, I'm cool either way. The movie is over 2 hours, after all.

I thought is was very good (not amazing), but very good. Just go in there and expect a well done Marvel film. No more or no less, and you won't be disappointed.
The 3d sucked ass with too much judder in the fast pace scenes, I recommend seeing it in 2d.

Oh, and if you wanna get a glimpse of the villain for the inevitable sequel, stick around to the midway point in the credits.

Recoil
Stars Stone Cold Steve Austin and Danny Trejo. Basically its a 90-minute action flick that is "Sons of Anarchy", but with Austin coming in and taking down the entire club, led by Trejo, who murdered his family.
It is literally SO PLAGERIZED that I truely believe "Sons" creator Kurt Sutter should sue the makers of the film. Not that he's gonna get anything, but seriously I could cite numerous things that were completely lifted. Even the biker gang's cut had "Anarchy" on it.
As for the film by itself... not bad. Straight-forward, popcorn, DTV action flick. Nothing more, nothing less. Austin & Trejo are good together in their limited screen time.
