Totally agree. GREAT film, that is sorely underrated. Just love it.
I think it paid more homage to the final, darker season of the series, which was more serious and nihilistic which turned alot of fans off in 1988-89, and also turned alot of fans off in 2006.
People wanted to see the ice cream colored, 80's flashback stuff of the earlier TV series.
They got "Miami HEAT". And it worked. It's not "Heat", but it's a damn good sister film with Heat & Collateral as far as i'm concerned. And had Miami Vice been done in the present, I thought the film was the perfect portrait of what it would've been in the mid-2000's. Real DEA, drug lord, white collar shit, high style.

I saw this band last night. Really good fun a mix of different music styles. If they come near you (UK) go see them!

Townshend is a pimp.
"It's the singer not the song that makes the music move along".....I find Townshend infinitely more interesting than Slash. Townshend wrote the lyrics and majority of the music. He sang. He did it all. If you want to hear some great stuff, listen to the Lifehouse Chronicles/Demos.....he does everything.
