Okay, what I'm surmising from jarmo is that it does have something to do with not acknowledging the current line up and the fact that the HOF is picking and choosing who gets inducted, mentioned and who doesn't. Basicaly, they're inducting new members of other bands (RHCP) but not GN'R.
I might be wrong, but since it's all conjecture at this point...
And Mysteron is really blowing my mind. This letter is a magical moment in GN'R history because... it got a good response from MTV?? Uh...

I was just complaining to Neemo via email about how I don't even want to check this board any more for this reason; the same people posting the same things they always have.
And I guess that would include you as well Russ. You post the same thing over and over again as well. I guess if we all expressed your view it'd be all good though right?

I read htgth and I want to take a gun and shoot myself in the face, its awful truly awful. I cant deal with such blind zealotry anymore, it goes for both sides of the divide, but the Axl side is far worse, I just find it insane and impossible to believe. I like it here where people can substantiate their reasoning whatever their point of view, but elsewhere... its sick.
I liked Axls stance on the HOF and believe this was always his end game, I also believe, knowing the backlash he'd get, he waited until the last minute to publish his intentions so the bulk of the euro tickets were sold, just my opinion 
But I dislike his attitude to the old band and genuinally find so much of his words to be empty posturing, until he starts to produce a body of work to rival that of the old band thats how I'm looking at the current Guns N'Roses, especially in its current state, just posers and pretenders.
Richards been in the band 10 years and has hardly played an original note, Bumblefoot has been there 6 years and hasnt even got the chance to be part of writing an original Guns N'Roses song, its pathetic.
I hope to god when they hit europe they have something original in their arsenal to stand alongside, because if they return here and all they've got new is Estranged and Civil War that offical band picture of "Guns N' Roses" Axl provided is going to look even more empty and meaningless, its just a charade to feed Axls ego and shit on the old band cause he knows they'd love to be touring as Guns N'Roses again.
But nah, not unless they sign on the dotted line and agree to be Axls employee and pucker up and kiss his arse while they are down there cowering.
New music please Axl, and lots of it, you have long enough and even had the privilage of pissing away millions of dollars of someone elses money on one record for 10 years, once you start backing up your egotistical posturing with a body of work, then you can be as smug and arrogant as you want.
Until then I view you as a fraud and a charlatan

Who's insulting the band? It's long thread, maybe there was one or two ppl, but most seem to be bashing their low utilization rate.
Yeah there is the artist and the person. The artist is fantastic and we want more of his work with whatever lineup - well at least i do anyhow.
But Axl Rose as a person sadly still seems to be a very ugly individual.
Recently that's all we have had to talk about - the person. The artist hasn't really been giving us much new stuff to talk about, nor much for us to talk about with his current band mates either.

Thanks Aussie, dead on. The whole facebook kerfuffle over him not reuniting is pretty silly, but most of those fans' interest probably stopped at UYIs.
The disgusting bit of this latest nonsense is the predictable "everyone done me wrong" attitude, coupled with zero output and zero positive communication. We either get nebulous screeds or inane tweets. And yet I'd still drop everything to buy more output from him. He's still more compelling to me than any other ex-Gunner, even with limited output.
I'm just out of gas on pretending it's not completely fucked up.

Nah...I stopped bothering to posting much of anything anymore. I just figured it'd be better to let this group of "fans" go about insulting the band their such fans of and not let myself get in the way.
I can't help but think you're so jaded over all this Russ that you can't even see what's actually being said by many of us. The fact you think people in this thread are insulting Axl's band is ridiculous. You need to make the distinction between people expressing their disgust with Axl Rose and "insulting the band". Nobody has said anything bad about the new era Guns. It's Axl and Axl alone that hasn't allowed that band to take off and create their own identity. Maybe acknowledge the fact that most people don't look at a cover band endlessly touring the old band's songs as something great the way you do. 1 album 17 years. You can think thats' great all ya want most people won't though and it doesn't make them less of a fan than you. Nobody dislikes the current band. People are fucking sick of Axl Rose though. Not sure how you confuse the two as being one in the same but whatever.... Maybe you do need to step away because you clearly aren't grasping what people are saying here. Not even close.
And the fact you describe many of us as "fans" is pretty pathetic and way beneath you. Sorry we don't meet your standards of fandom Russ. How very Axl like of you.
