Hi please feel free to shut me down but noticed a couple of supposed clips/leaks on you tube - 'monstrosity' and another one with a heavy middle eastern / Arabic sounding opening Axl screaming over with a significant number of views.
Have these been discussed and dismissed?

Yeah I heard about these leaks. I listened to both of them. Pretty interesting. Hoping they are legit. There is a wikipedia article on Monstrosity which is mentioned to be one of several songs DJ and Axl have written together with other band members during the last few years on tour.

Both sound fake to me.
Very end of the Axl scream sounds like a different vocal tone in the first one.
Second one sounds like someone got Axl grabs and reversed them to make it.
Of course joke might be on me when these songs are on the next album 
That said, first one sounds like it would be a cool song, love the drumming over that riff, if it's a fake - i'd like them to make a full song for me anyway!

Well also if you listen to Chinese Democracy as a whole, alot of the vocals sound differently on various parts of a song probably from various re-recordings during 1999, 2001, 02, 06, etc etc. I particularly noticed that during Street of Dreams. It makes you think of the recording process.
