Nope I'm not laughing at the video I'm laughing at the fact the whole concept of this video is to support a network marketing company. Yup you read that correctly. Clearly you guys all missed that BUT....
Visalus is a nurtritional supplement company who's model is based on network marketing. They have exploded in the last 6 months with their 90 Day challenge promotion.
Now don't get me wrong I have no issue with network marekting(I'm involved with one myself) as long as the products are great and the compensation plan is fair and legit. However, if anyone ever calls Slash $la$h again after this, I'll laugh my ass off and if I ever see that person in person I'll laugh in their face for real. I mean there's no such thing as selling out now. A member of Guns N' Roses is in a video promoting network marketing.

I think everyone got the point that it was an endorsement. It wasn't "off the cuff" as it was portrayed. In Hogan's defense, he was slammed in his divorce. The man needs money, so I can't fault him for doing petty shit like this. Bumblefoot? Why would he say no?

yeah and then if Slash had done he'd be a fucking sellout. 
That was my point.
Also Aussie even asked what this was all about. Maybe I'm wrong but got the sense nobody even knew what Visalus was.

Slash is on a different level than Ron Thal. There's a reason nobody knows who the F Bumblefoot is, yet everyone knows who Slash is. Slash doesn't NEED to put himself out there as much as he does, yet he still does.
Note, I have no problem with Slash "selling himself". But, I can't compare the two scenarios.
Oh, and I had no clue what Visalus was either, but I could clearly tell it was a marketing ploy. Again, Hulk got RAPED in his divorce. I'll cut the guy some slack for trying to make a buck, as lame as it might seem.

I have no problem with anyone doing it. It's 2012 there's no such thing as selling out anymore it seems. I guess I just find the humor in the fact Slash gets ragged on for being a sell out and yet everything new Gn'R gets a pass when it comes to this stuff because Axl's at the helm.

I see that. I'm just glad I never called him $la$h in the past. I never had a problem with him trying to make a buck. I disagreed with some of the "guest" spots he did, and most of all with him going on American Idol. I just hate that show, so that struck a nerve with me.

Entertainers promote themselves so they can earn money which helps them to be entertainers you know.
I don't want hogan to end up like the dude in the wrestler.
I don't want bumble to get crap on guitar cos he has to work at wallmart 14 hours a day to pay for his kids.
Everyone has to earn a buck. I don't see the problem.

Even when he was Hollywood and nWo, he was still a total face. Mainly 'cause he wouldn't take bumps from anyone "lower caliber" than him.
Austin was the best face/heel ever. Had the skyrocketed popularity of Hogan, but basically a heel who was a full-time face, because of how good he was selling himself as an outlaw/renegade wrestler.
The Rock was another one that was better than Hogan at it. Total scum suckin' dog heel that got bigger pops than some of the faces he was wrestling.
WCW played up the nWo like a face faction after the popularity skyrocketed. It was never ever DX, it was never used in a proper heel fashion.
Like I said, Hogan was all push. Austin busted his ass in that ring and proved himself in the ring, not just with a mic.

Dude what you are saying is like one of those music topics "Is Jimi the greatest guitarist of all time?" and it comes down to a person's innovation and contribution to their place in history.
Modern technical guitarists like Satriani, Vai, Buckethead mop the floor with Jimi, he just plain could not play their songs. But it's not that simple, as if it wasn't for the things Jimi did first and his contributions then guys like Vai wouldn't exist - they are the development and evolution of his playing.
It's the same in wrestling. Hogan (with Vince) was a pioneer in so many aspects of making the wrestling business into mainstream popular culture and superstardom. Those that follow him such as Austin and The Rock will be better at individual elements and areas because the business adapts and grows - and they're following in his footsteps, but if Hogan hadn't done what he did then the landscape would be vastly different.
So you can't really compare. But hogan deserves much respect, he was the best in the world in his business in his time and there's more to that than just push or the push would fail.
