This show was a staple for those of us who grew up in the late 70s/80s as an afternoon come home from school & summertime TV. Like Gilligans Island, Leave it to Beaver & Brady Bunch, had nearly every episode seen & memorized. Ahhhhh the days before cable TV.

RIP man! You provided some great humor and music to my parents and I thoroughly enjoyed some of his music over the years too.

I never saw the show as a child, but one of my best mates loved it and was always singing the theme song, even to this day if you get him started he'll go day dream believer at a party.
66 seems young in our era, I mean it's not 27 club young but it's young for a "natural causes" death like a heart attack. RIP.

Ironically, I had no clue earlier the day Davy Jones had died... just as a fluke I started swaying side-to-side to take weight off my feet, like Davy Jones did when performing.
Then found out later he had died. Weird, and shocking moment. Always liked him, and still think Axl got his little snake dance from Davy.

I keep waiting for that to happen to someone like Izzy or Steven. Guys who either have substance history, or a tendency to drop off the face of the earth.
As soon as that happens, ANY GN'R reunion will instantly turn into a Alice In Chains/Queen situation, where every night even if Matt is up there, people will be thinking "it's not the same, but cool nonetheless".
