Re: GN'R returns to the UK
it is too expense.
having said that i thought £50 was reasonable in comparison to other concerts when they played bfast last time.
£50 is p average for an arena production, no matter who you're getting there's a lotta work goes into it & people to get paid. it's fuckin ridiculous but that's the way of it these days sadly.
but compared to club gigs or theatre gigs, some which charge £20/25 even £30+ you do get the value for money difference w/GnR gigs. i gotta give them credit, they do put on a good show.
I've seen Judas Priest, Green Day and Iron Maiden at this venue. All three with arena production values and they were not this much. For Priest they also had Megadeth and Testament as support so they also had good support acts and not some rubbish on the bill.
I'm gonna try and find the money for this but damn I'm gonna be living of Tesco Value Noodles for a week or something.

if that's true how come one 14-song album cost around $13million?
the guy has, what, at least 6 band members who get paid money.
not to mention the beggars & hanger's on..
7 band members plus the Lebeis (daughter, son, mother) and Del....pretty much covers it.

Like I said earlier, £40 would be fine. It's what bands like Maiden, Metallica and Priest have charged when they've played the UK over the past 2/3 years. I just don't understand how they can charge £50 for this incarnation of the band when the only person in it that most people will care about is Axl.
NOTE: I am not some Slash loving reunionist. I do really like the new band a lot. Just pointing out that I don't understand how £50 can be charged for this GN'R lineup. Well £50+Ticketmaster Fee+Postage...
I think the total price is £50, thats how I read it on ticketmaster.
GNR have a much bigger production than those bands, Iron Maidens set up last year was pretty poor.
Re: GN'R returns to the UK
Tickets for Glasgow are £40 to £45... I guess its £40 for standing, plus whatever booking fees there are.

GD apart those r all p niche bands, no disrespect but GnR do cater to a slightly more diverse 'pop' audience & are maybe more comparable to soft rock like bon jovi/U2/pearl jam & even the likes of gaga & beyonce..
But I'm on ur side so wtf.. 50 is too much.
