Re: 02/21/12 - Detroit, MI (The Fillmore) NEW video and photos inside
The theme to Luck from HBO was the intro last night.
That is fucking awesome. I watched that show from the very beginning as a big Michael Mann fan, and I just knew Axl was gonna fall in love with it.

I might have to join that party
I cannot tell you how much you're all welcome here ANYTIME.
God damnit. I literally cannot think of any more words to describe last night. I hope to god some kind of boot shows up, YouTube clips.... something.
That is very cool and very good to know man. Thanks.
As ID (I think) said... Evopalooza.
And btw, as you were texting me, I just KNEW it was an awesome show, and I knew you were gonna post a killer review. Glad you, Stacey, Eric, Alex, the guys beside you, the lighting crew, Prince Fielder, and the bartender all had an awesome show!
Axl's voice sounds AWESOME, and even better than Chicago 2012 on those YouTube videos. And if Axl can sound awesome on a YouTube video (which almost always bring the flaws to the surface), that means Axl was fucking ON last night.
...except for the second half of November Rain.

still undecided on this show.
the pilot was excellent. mann, like marty on the otherwise horrendous first season of Boardwalk Empire, knocked it outta the park on the pilot, it looked incredible.
the next two episodes were p terrible, deathly boring.
but ep 4 was REALLY FUCKING GREAT!
rekindled by enthusiasm which had been curbed by the 2/3rd episodes.
haven't seen last nights yet.
however, the show needs much more sex. & violence. & michael mann directing.
