It was RIO 01 the last time he kicked someone out for a shirt. During Easy.

Rogue security.......just don't buy that, especially since Axl has kicked out audience members holding up Slash shirts in the past.

Read the guy's post.  GN'R is supposed to be anti-cameras, right?  Axl posed for a picture for this guy, so did Ron.  When did Axl actually throw someone out for wearing a Slash shirt?  Please don't say RIR 2001 as you can't see the shirt the audience member was wearing from the pro-shot broadcast video.

I don't remember the exact show, but it was definitely post-Rio 01.

You assume that management passes this all through Axl. From what I recall, Slash was intercepted at the Hard Rock by management without any suggestion by the redhead.

I think there are issues that management chooses not to filter through Axl b/c these are issues regarding  the artist's state of mind.  The artist prepares himself for the show, focuses on the show, and executes during the show. Micromanaging is left to the tour and band management.

Do they always see eye to eye with the artist? Absolutely not.

No, no, no.  I do not assume all this passes through Axl.  I distinctly recall what happened with Slash at the Joint in 2001 because I was at that show.

I agree with what you said in the 2nd paragraph, though.

I hope these zoovision guys do some more streams, on most of the others so far there has been instruments absent or buried in the mix, but I thought overall the sound and video quality was pretty damn good for this show.

FYI, with regards to Axl's vocal performance.  According to Beta via a MyGNR member, Axl was sick.

As I've said before, unless I heard the "No Slash" thing with my own ears, I never would've believed it. IMO, it's definitely a band management thing, not an Axl and/or GN'R thing.

Russ, how many times of the shows have you been to have you seen or heard this type of thing occurring?

I've only been to half a dozen in the post-Slash era, both at clubs and arenas, and have never, ever witnessed this.  I have seen people consistently wearing Slash attire and/or AFD-era attire at every show I've been to.

Once.

And again, if I hadn't heard it with my own ears, I would never ever have believed it.

For as many shows as we all know you've been to, that says something.

I just don't get if this is really being done by management, how one would explain the inconsistency in which it is done.

Different venues. Different fans. The practice is being carried out.

What are the constants in all of this?
