DJ has said a few times he's heard the other songs and has said Axl wants him to re-record some spots. Here he's saying he can't wait to do it.

And since the Ron and Frank re-recorded their parts on CD (and the other songs) during a tour it'll probably happen like that again.

Plus, we don't know when this was interview was done, and there were reports of Caram being on some of the tour with them.

The news itself isnt surprising. Whats surprising is the fact he was willing to admit theyve done nothing & he hasnt even heard any of the ancient material.
I expect silence or a reunion after this tour. CD II is nowhere near a launch pad.

I'm not sure that quote means he hasn't heard any of the ancient material.  Could the "..........hearing some of the ideas and songs that are already done" quote mean ".......having heard some of the...."?  It isn't as if Americans are all perfect at word selection.  I've heard it said both ways and am sure I've stated it both ways.

Yeah, I'm quite certain DJ isn't saying he hasn't heard any new music Axl has.  In fact, he's said the exact opposite in recent interviews.  He's saying, HAVING heard the the songs and ideas, I can't wait to work on them.

Obviously, still a glaring sign that the band hasn't worked together on new music.  But he HAS heard what's in the vault, and as is often the case, has raved about it.

Blah blah blah (no offense), DJ ain't saying anything Dizzy & Richard hasn't been saying for years. Baz too.

It ain't a sign of nothing.

I used to say the same thing in 2006. It was a sign that something was happening, not...

Uh, I actually said it was a sign that nothing was happening.  I said that DJ has heard the music but the band hasn't worked on anything together.

Slow your role.

Just listening to oh my god, forgotten how much I like this track

I'd love if Axl could release a bunch of heavy, fast, twisted tracks like this. Would certainly keep me going until another major release
