i like bale as an actor...i didnt really appreciate him though until i read the american psycho book, then re watched the movie...he does an excellent job of bringing that character to life

still i didnt care for t3 or batman returns sp i dont know about this flick....i just hate action flicks these days, a good actor cant do anything about ashitty supporting cast, a bad script and no viable plot lines which seems to be a common trend in the genre these days hmm

It's called Batman Begins, and WTF are you smoking with the "bad cast and no viable plot" comment? Batman Begins has a kickass cast. An Oscar-worthy cast. Bale, Liam Neeson, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Rutger Hauer. Those are some incredibly gifted actors. And the story is not action-oriented until the end. The first 45 minutes doesn't even include Batman as a character. It's all about his journey to become Batman.

I think what we should've got instead of that crap Terminator 3, was a prequel story taking place before the events of T1 and T2, describing how and when skynet first took over the world, like what the Kyle Reese character was always talking about in T1. Ah, the "could've beens". . .

The Terminator films have always depressed me. They have such an air of hopelessness. I can see the first one being a cult classic type because Arnold was born to play the role. But once they introduced the shape changing terminators, humans would stand no chance. The shape changers can kill from so far away by just extending a sharpened finger, but always seem to forget that when actually close to John Conner. In real life, it'd be over about 5 minutes after the terminators showed up from the future.

Wow, amazed at the disrespect for Mr. Bale.

Go watch The Machinist, The Prestige, American Psycho or even that pseudo-1984-ish-matrix-alike flick he did a couple of years back (forgot the name)...

Seeing him connected to this movie actually makes it look like it has half a chance of being decent...

Agreed, Bale is great in whatever he does. He was the only thing that saved American Psycho. I loved the book and Bale was Patrick Bateman down to a tee. Shame the film itself was rubbish compared to the book though.

He excels in the Machinist and also in 3.10 to Yuma which was also a great movie. Its worth checking out Harsh Times as well. He's one of too few great actual actors around these days.

This could make it a bit interesting. Bale is one of the fine actors of our day. AP was oscar worthy. The Prestige a breath of fresh air.

I'm always up for a sequel if the original was good.

Totally and utterly agreed as I mentioned earlier in this thread that Bale is an amazing actor.   The Presitge was a wonderfully different type of movie that kept you watching and interersted throughout the entire fiIm to the very end.    Just saw 3:10 to Yuma, the movie itself I wasn't totally keen on but he as usual was amazing in his role.    One thing about Bale is his roles from one to the other are always very, very different and he shines in all of them he's done so far.
