Re: Old and new songs that should be brought back or added in the shows
TWAT.
When Axl does that scream in the middle it kills me. One of his best moments.
Also enjoy ITW if we're doing CD tracks.
If i had to pick more UYI i'd day prob DTJ as they can have fun mixing up the shred outro between them.
And of course any unheard song trumps any old song in terms of interest level - even if it's the first time the band played the old song.
oh and TWAT TWAT TWAT!!!!

Voted for Perfect Crime, in that we have enough ballads and mid-tempo songs in the set, and I'd love to see a kickass rocker in there.
Perfect Crime was rumoured to be in setlists dating back to 2006, so no doubt the band has it worked out already too.

TWAT
ITW
Prostitute
Perfect Crime

I voted for "The General"
It's a new/unheard song, and something we've been teased for years.
I think it's very telling how many people have promoted the old stuff. Maybe it's a lack of interest in new stuff, or a lack of knowledge in the new stuff, I dunno.
Either way, as much as I LOVE the Illusion records, I think of the current GN'R have any plans at all to be an ACTUAL BAND and record music and release it and tour n' shit... you know like every other artist on the fucking planet, other than them.
That they should play new songs over more alternate old songs.
I think the blend of AFD & UYI currently being played at the shows are damn near perfect for a nice blend of likeability from the casual & diehard fan audience.
Obviously ANY GN'R audience if gonna want to hear...
Jungle
Easy
Nightrain
Mr. B
City
Sweet Child
and probably Rocket Queen (but not a requirement)
Patience
Live and Let Die
Don't Cry
November Rain
Civil War
Knockin'
Estranged
You Could Be Mine
Those are vitual requirements. Forever. Old band, new band. As much as i'd love to see the UYI covers dropped, they are classic identified with GN'R. They HAVE to play them.
So your alterations are gonna come from the additional covers and Chinese songs that you play.
I personally think Chinese could be trimmed to "Better" & "This I Love", and scrap everything else for new songs off the new album, which would open up 3-4 slots for new songs, and maybe an alternate different cover song.
The old UYI songs should be saved for the GN'R reunion imo, to give them something to play.
Current band (not in order):
Welcome To The Jungle
It's So Easy
Nightrain
Mr. Brownstone
Paradise City
Sweet Child O' Mine
--- Alternate: Rocket Queen
Patience
--- Alternate: Used To Love Her
Live and Let Die
Don't Cry [original]
November Rain
Civil War
Knockin' On Heaven's Door
Estranged
You Could Be Mine
Better
This I Love
---Alternates: Shackler's Revenge, Sorry & Madagascar
new song
new song
new cover
---Alternates: Oh My God, Whole Lotta Rosie
Reunion:
Welcome To The Jungle
It's So Easy
Nightrain
Out Ta Get Me
Mr. Brownstone
My Michelle
Sweet Child O' Mine
Rocket Queen
Patience
Used To Love Her
---Alternates: Nice Boys, Move To The City, You're Crazy [acoustic]
Dust N' Bones (used more as an Izzy solo)
Live and Let Die
Perfect Crime
Double Talkin' Jive (used more as a Slash solo)
November Rain
---Alternates: Don't Cry [original], You Ain't The First, Bad Obession, Coma
Civil War
14 Years (used more as an Izzy solo)
Yesterdays
Knockin' On Heaven's Door
So Fine (used more as a Duff solo)
Estranged
You Could Be Mine

Yep that would be the bomb
Re: Old and new songs that should be brought back or added in the shows
In 2012 & beyond, only song from CD thats required is the title track & that could be dropped in a heartbeat. Its dead in the water. Crowd can take it or leave it. They need a new single really bad. Whats the crowd reaction to those songs?
