I wouldn't read into that too much, I think it's just that she was hysterical hearing her Mom was dead. I could see an 18 year old being out of control upon being told of their mothers death. Especially one fairly sudden & unexpected.
Yes, there is a CBS article about it that says they expect her to be OK. They were treating her for anxiety. However, if I'm not mistaken she has had her fair share of drug use as well.

50 sold-out shows in the London O2 arena, with record-making box office - all in advance.
The US opinion in these things is often met with yawns in Europe, thank you very much.
Outside of Jacko fanatics... no one gave a shit. Facts are facts.
His death gave him a far bigger boost than a comeback would've.

Sad news. Gave probably the greatest National Anthem performace in the 91 Super Bowl, while America was just going into Operation Desert Storm.

RIP
With all due respect to Whiteny Houston I think Carrie Underwood has the very best National Anthem performance that I have ever heard. It was classy, dignified, respectful in the sense that she sang it exactly the way it's meant to be and the proof of this is the crowd singing with her near the end. Something they can never do when others sing it their own way, including Whitney Houston. Plus technically she has a great voice for it and she sang it with passion. Also she had no music or band to accompany her and add to it. It was just her belting it out the way it was meant to be. Just my opinion but every other national Anthem performance I've seen pales in comparison to Carrie Underwoods.

Carrie's was good, Whitney's was better. Sorry Bono.

Re: Whitney Houston Dead at 48
I can't believe no one remembers Whitney's national anthem was lip synced, so it kind of disqualifies her, imo.
Lip synced? Sure doesn't look like it.
Re: Whitney Houston Dead at 48
The shock has more to do with the overall downward spiral that is now over & not just her death itself. Now it can be looked back on without spin control & laughable denials. No one fainted from shock yesterday when a famous drug addict died.
