He's wierd...like in some ways has a strong voice but in other ways I just can't handle the tone of it....

This week, STP's Core was recommended to me by someone outside the GNR/VR fandom.

My STP experience had, before that, been limited to later albums like Purple. Disliked them.

To my shock, I loved Core.

Not exactly thrilled with the lyrics (didn't pay much attention on them on the first go), but damn, do Weiland's vocals fit like a glove, there.

So yeah. He went up a notch or two in my book.

Core is really the only STP album I like. In fairness though, it's been YEARS since I dug into their catalog.
